The beautiful brooch, tulip noire, is signed LISNER on the back. This company from NY produced jewelry from 1904-1985. The handle is a rare beauty - handmade ceramic beads in polished charcoal and embossed spice. They are irregular, another indication of the artist’s hand. The beads are strung on a leather strap measuring 18” from end to end. Inside are subdued gray polka dots on charcoal. This purse transitions easily from day to evening. The bag measures 9” across the bottom, 6” across the top and is 7” high.
