A midcentury acrylic brooch steals the show on this lovely Pochette. The 50’s and 60’s produced many of these brightly colored pins and this is one of the best. The color is a deep coral and the stamens in the center are rhinestones in a lighter tone of coral. The base or stem of the flower is japanned black with green leaves. The flap of the purse is linen. Silk and cotton is woven together with multi colors to complete the bag. Lining this Pochette is a gorgeous satin fabric featuring all of the colors that are on the outside but in an abstract pattern. This is a must see! However, the strap competes with the brooch for attention. Beautiful vintage cloisonné beads are handsewn onto the fabric handle. Cloisonne is an enamel decoration in which the enamel is applied and fired in raised cells on a metal background or bead. The strap measures 24” end to end. The bottom of the purse is 11.5” across, the top 9.5” and it is 6.5” tall. OVER THE TOP
